Ryan followed the people who got into the boat. He read large letters on the wall of the cruise ship, N-A-V-E, Italian language for ship. It was the first time for him to sail. His first step made him amazed. He never thought that he would get a chance to sail with that ship, the luxurious ship with full of rich people. It was all because he won a lottery.
He looked at his key, Room 567, fifth floor. Finally, he entered his room and took a rest.

It was already morning; Ryan prepared to have a breakfast after having a shower. He dressed up to make himself was looked like a rich man, but he couldn’t.
He entered the restaurant, and it was very full of people. Just when he wanted to take the food, he looked at a man in front of him. Ryan thought that the man was a very rich man. Suddenly, the rich man looked at Ryan and gave him a smile, and Ryan replied.
After 10 minutes queuing, he sat at one of the tables. He enjoyed it because he seldom ate those kinds of foods. Beside his table, there was a couple and Ryan thought that they were having a honeymoon.

Time went by, it was the fourth day of Ryan’s sailing. It needed several days more to reach the ship destination, Italy. Ryan enjoyed wonderful sea view on the deck, only a few people was there.
All in sudden, the ship speaker announced, “To all ship passengers, please come to the hall!” Ryan felt in a quandary about what happened, but he just followed the instruction.
All ship passengers were panic, so Ryan could not hear the announcement clearly. The most important thing that he heard was the ship had a machine problem, so all passengers were expected to be ready to face a dangerous situation.
He went back to his room, but when he wanted to change his clothes, the speaker announced again. It said that the problem had to be really serious. The ship would be drowned soon. Everyone was ordered to get into the lifeboat. Ryan got out his room in hurry.
The ship was very crowded outside. All people were scrambling to get in lifeboat, because of it; almost all of lifeboats were full. There were still some people that couldn’t get in the lifeboat. Fortunately, there was still the smallest lifeboat left. Ryan ran in hurry to the lifeboat that actually could only consist of eight persons. Finally, the lifeboat was ready to sail.

Ryan looked at seven persons around him. He was familiar with three of them. They were the rich man and the new couple, and he didn’t know the others, three women and a man. They rowed, rowed, and rowed without knowing the destination.
While rowing, they introduced their selves. One of the women would have a business in Italy, while two others were having a holiday. The man was a chef in that ship. The rich man was also having holiday, and as Ryan’s prediction, the couple was enjoying honeymoon.
After rowing for six hours, they got tired and let the ship floating. They lost their energy and got rest until the chef saw a land. It was still a bit far. With a tiring effort for three hours, they finally could reach the land.

By looking the situation, they predicted that there was no one lived there. After realizing that the island was really uninhabited, they began to be panic. Arianna, the woman who would have a business in Italy, took out his cell phone, but she soon realized that there was no signal in that island. Then she threw her cell phone into the sea.
"Why did you throw it away?" asked Ryan.
"Why should I take?" Arianna replied casually. Then they decided to have a rest on the beach and would go around the island the next morning. They also would find food.

The sun had not blazed yet. The eight men who were stranded had been awakened. They started walking to see the island and find food. Celine- the wife of the couple looked afraid to move.
The island was uninhabited but full of unique plants that have not been seen by Ryan. Ryan wondered why the island had no occupants.
After walking for two hours, they returned to the beach where they first landed. They've brought food to eat. Tom – Celine’s husband ate. He looked so hungry.
"Hey, I'm still hungry. Celine, wait here, I will look for a dessert. I will not go so far "said Tom. Celine nodded.

It was more than an hour, Tom hasn’t come back. Celine began to worry. "Why Tom has not come back?" asked Celine. By the approval of his friends Celine went to the jungle to find Tom.
Ryan sat on the sandy beach. Arianna came and sat beside him. They began to chat. They talked for a long time without realizing that they had talked for an hour. They started to realize that Celine had not yet returned, and Tom did not either.
Ryan asked his friends to find Tom and Celine. They entered the jungle. They shouted the name of Tom and Celine but no answer. The chef shouted. Apparently he saw Tom and Celine, but they were stiff. Not far from them there was a remaining ex-eaten fruit. Most likely they died because they ate the fruit.
After a long debate, they decided to leave Tom and Celine there. And they would bring Tom and Celine when they were rescued later.
That was the third day for them. They survived on the island with little food and no shower. Donna and Clara - two friends, started to feel not comfortable with their body odour, so they decided to go to the river in the forest.
Soon, the chef was seeking permission to go pee. He told that he would not go so far from where they were sitting. Ryan stayed with Arianna and the rich man, Jack.
Ryan started to think about how to go back home. They also made up some plans. They talked for a long time, but Donna, Clara and the chef had not yet returned. Because of that, they had to find their friends.
They went into the jungle and ran to the river. At the river they saw the bodies of Donna and Clara was drowned in the stream. Arianna was surprised to see it and screamed. They all ran from the river. As they went back to beach, they saw the chef was lying with his mouth full of foam. Arianna shouted again. Jack took something out of the chef's hand. Apparently it was a kind of drugs. It looked like the chef died because of overdose.

The fourth day, Ryan, Arianna and Jack just spent time on the beach. They were still in mourning due to death of their friends. Arianna seemed very upset. He was silent and did not talk much. While Jack just made a little talk.
Then, it was already evening. Arianna seemed to want to sleep. But she shouted. She was bitten by a big mosquito. Arianna said that the bites were very itchy and she continued to scratch until she finally fell asleep. Ryan and Jack went to sleep.

Arianna went after the others. She died. Her body was swollen and bruised. When Ryan and Jack woke up, they saw Arianna's body swelled and turned blue. Ryan and Jack were surprised to see it.
Ryan and Jack were silent. They were getting desperate. They had gone one by one. They did not know what to do. They were scared that if one of them would also follow their friends who had gone.

Ryan woke up this morning because he was very surprised to hear a strong sound. The sound was similar to the sound of helicopters. Ryan saw it, really saw it. It was a helicopter. Rescue helicopter. Apparently, rescue teams were deployed to search for survivors around the location of the sinking ship. Ryan woke Jack up, but Jack did not answer. Ryan touched the body of Jack. His body was cold. Ryan tried again to wake him up, but it was futile. When a rescue team landed and checked Jack condition, Ryan realized that Jack has also gone and left him alone after all that happened.
